Best way of achieving multiple binary packages with different build params

Samuel Henrique-2
Hello,

I have a task of providing two binary packages out of a single source
one, by doing one build with an extra flag. My main difficulty has
been finding docs and examples of what would be the best approach to
accomplish this.

Can anyone provide me with examples of packages which are doing this
in ways that you would consider appropriate? I would like to take a
look at some good examples before I spend more time doing something
that might be sub-optimal as I'm sure this can be accomplished in
multiple ways.

Regards,

When I was looking into this a while back, I found that the developers
reference [1] suggests looking at vim's packaging.  If the package in
question uses debhelper, then it might be a good place to start.
