Bug#926872: evolution: Spaces in mail view disappeared with recent updates

Boyuan Yang-2
Package: evolution
Severity: serious
Version: 3.30.5-1
X-Debbugs-CC: [hidden email]

Dear evolution maintainers,

I'm using the broken evolution to report bugs to you now. With the
updates recently (within 1 week), evolution no longer shows spaces when
displaying email.

This is really a serious bug and we should figure out the reason before
Buster release.

A screenshot is provided with the email here. I'm not sure if it can be
reproduced by you, but at least this issues appears on all my machines
running Debian Sid.

What locale are you using ?

Could you try with "LC_ALL=C evolution" ?

All the best

Bug#926872: evolution: Spaces in mail view disappeared with recent updates

Hi,

I also confirmed same problem in my debian box (latest debian sid.)
In my case, evolution was invoked with "LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8".

When I tryed invoking evolution with "LC_ALL=C", spaces were apeared.

I'm afraid that I think this problem are as grave for CJK users.

I really hope this problem will be fixed.

 Thank you in advance,
