Evolution 3.8 ate my settings

Sven Arvidsson
Hi,

I recently upgraded one of my systems to GNOME and Evolution 3.8. It
seems none of my settings or accounts in Evolution has been migrated,
all I got was the new account wizard when starting Evo.

Is this a bug or just an unfortunate side effect of upgrading from
Evolution 3.4 to 3.8 without going through 3.6? (It never made it into
unstable).

I didn't have this issue when I upgraded. I'm now on evolution 3.10
from experimental, which is slightly less crashy than the one from
unstable for me.

I think it is an issue triggered by something in your setup, since not
every user is experiencing it.

Agree - Didn't experience this personally from 3.4 Evo to 3.8 either.

Thanks, I guess it's good to know that it's just a bug. I ended up
filing it upstream:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=710924

Not sure if it's something to do with the migration from gconf.
