Gnome 2.16 in debian?

Luis Matos-5

Debian stable comes in late december. Gnome 2.16 is coming in early
september [1], before the freeze, wich is in late october [2].

Regarding this, will debian stable ship 2.14 or 2.16?

I am asking this because i want to translate gnome in debian, but i have
to know if have to pay attention to 2.14 or to go ahead to 2.16.

The plan is to upload 2.16 to experimental, and to move it to etch as
fast as possible if it looks fine, just like we did with 2.8 for sarge.
