Internet connection (IBM Thinkpad)

Augusto.Sanabria

Good day everyone,

Has anyone got experience connecting an IBM Thinkpad
T1830 to the internet?

Last time I searched google with my modem type (below)
there were close to 20,000 entries, most of them were useless.
What I need is a bullet-proof recipe to connect the Thinkpad
to the internet.

I am using Ubuntu 5.3 in Debian 3.1.

My lspci is as follows:

Looks like you can just connect using your ethernet adapter (???).

Do the configuration in /etc/network/interfaces for static or dhcp connections.

Hi,
I'm using R51.
For wireless interface you have to download the driver patch from
http://ipw2200.sourceforge.net/
