Maintenance of scoop (Was: FTBFS: Could not import extension sphinx.ext.pngmath (exception: No module named pngmath))

Andreas Tille-5
Hi,

I pushed a patch for #924838 to Git but unfortunately there is an issue with
the build time test suite that tries to access remoto hosts:

...
   debian/rules override_dh_auto_test
make[1]: Entering directory '/build/scoop-0.7.1.1'
PYBUILD_SYSTEM=custom \
PYBUILD_TEST_ARGS="cd {dir}/test; {interpreter} tests.py" \
dh_auto_test
I: pybuild base:217: cd /build/scoop-0.7.1.1/test; python2.7 tests.py

E: pybuild pybuild:341: test: plugin custom failed with: exit code=1: cd /build/scoop-0.7.1.1/test; python2.7 tests.py

I used

export http_proxy='127.0.0.1:9'

as a known workaround but that fails as well.

Before I might dive deeper into this:  Daniel, you orphaned the package.
May be I missed something, but did you asked here on the list whether
there is somebody who intents to take over?  Is there any issue with
that software which makes it less interesting for the Buster release or
something like this?

I have no personal interest in this package at all but I'm doing my
usual QA work for Debian Science owned packages (or those that are at
least relevant for Debian Science, are in Debian Science Git etc.)

Kind regards

       Andreas
