Cool, this means we are only missing m68k and the two mips/mipsels.

Christian, can you give a fast status update of the m68k problem ? Did "Roman
start the merge ? I did not see any commit to the apus tree also, so i have
some doubts.

Thiemo, what about mips/mipsel ? Does it already run with 2.6.14 ? And if so,
are you ready to bring it into main kernel packages ? I would be glad to
assist you in this if you chose to go this way, as i believe all your previous
objections have been taken care of.

Yes, there were some commits, I haven't tried building a kernel with those
fixes yet. But the weekend is approaching...

Well, i looked for the first mail from you and copied it, i guess i should
have paid more attention to the real email address. costa is alioth/svn
though, so i guess it was a commit log message.

Christian, just a heads up. The linux-2.6 in sid is, as of yesterday,
in sid/linux-2.6. This is what was up until yesterday trunk/linux-2.6.

Don't shoot the messanger :)

And it wasn't me this time :)

BTW, another option would be for trunk to be a symlink, symlinking to either
sid or experimental depending on what we are currently working on. Since
symlink seem to be perfectly integrated in svn, this should cause no major
problems.

Because of the spelling?

I must have left a violent impression somehow. I do have a license from the
government NOT to kill, doesn't say anything about maiming though >;->

Does this change mean I don't have to chase a moving target anymore?

BTW another question, what is the deal with klibc? My buildd refused to
build it, since it is marked not for m68k. What is needed to make it build
on m68k?

Well, svn has this unnice thingy that it *may* erase local changes when the
tree containing it dissapears in the repo.

> Does this change mean I don't have to chase a moving target anymore?

well, sid is 2.6.14, and will stay until 2.6.15 is released, i think it will
remain pretty stable, except for security fixes and some added patches.

No idea, but yaird should work fine, right ? Maybe a bit of patching is
needed, but it should be pretty straigthforward.

It means that 2.6.14 will be in sid at least until 2.6.15 comes out,
and svn directory policy changes asside, 2.6.14 should live in
sid/linux-2.6 until then.

At some time, trunk/linux-2.6 will probably become some pre-release
of 2.6.15. And at some time we'll probably start focusing on that,
rather than updating 2.6.14. But I anticipate that will be at least
a month away, probably more like two months.

So in short, sid/linux-2.6 is stable and trunk/linux-2.6 is
the place for tail-chasing.

Accoring to the maintainer, it hasn't been ported yet (#334917).

FWIW, I put it on the todo <http://wiki.debian.org/DebianM68kPorting>.
