Há o saned, o daemon do Sane project.  Não sei se clientes M$ têm cliente sane disponível.

Esta funcionando estou utilizando o cliente SANEWin, porem o SANE não
suporta a impressora a qual quero utilizar.

Precisa verificar a marca, alguns funcionam via Samba.

1 - Apague meu endereço eletrônico;
2 - Encaminhe como Cópia Oculta (Cco ou BCc) aos seus destinatários. Dificulte assim a disseminação de vírus, spams e banners.

Tem algo documentado a respeito?  Fiquei curioso, como o Samba (que é
um servidor SMB, Server Message Block, de arquivos e impressoras)
permitiria a um digitalizador funcionar mesmo sem suporte a Sane?

Só o que vejo que se possa fazer é verificar se o modelo tem acionador
dispositivo ainda que experimental no projeto Sane ou algum projeto
associado.

Ou tens dois digitalizadores Epson conectados, ou é um erro de
detecção, ou essa Kyocera usa um digitalizador Epson.  Mas ainda não
olhaste a página do projeto Sane.

Acredito que este Scanner não seja suportado pelo SANE.
